Remember that they showed matherial from the 2nd movie in the trailer for the 1st film so it might be scenes from the 3rd in this trailer..

Andreas, I think that the early trailers for the first film came out before they decided to split the whole thing into three which accounts for the material from film 2.

Thank you for the podcast – lots of interesting remarks. However, I have a few disagreements. For instance, they get new clothes in Lake Town not from Beorn because they were stripped in Mirkwood. The query about who the dwarves can trust refers to Bard whilst they are in his boat and not to Thranduil. Similarly, the remark about coming to reclaim their homeland is made in Lake Town (see the snow) and not to Thranduil. But I would agree that Thranduil’s offer of help is suspect: perhaps he is offering to keep them safe by showing them to his dungeons, LOL! Or perhaps he isn’t even speaking to the dwarves.

Looking forward to the next podcast.

@Nennia Good points! I didn’t catch that they were referring to Bard and not Thranduil. It makes sense though, Thorin wouldn’t want to tell the elves about his quest.
